1st chakra

The 1st chakra is also called the root or base chakra. This is where your will to be manifests itself and is the source of your basic trust in life.

A nourished root chakra has no room for fears and doubts. It symbolizes the epitome of vitality, courage and Vitality.

As you may already know, the chakra teachings originate from the ancient Indian healing tradition and therefore each of the 7 energy centers also has a Sanskrit name. In Sanskrit, the base chakra is called "Muladhara".

The design of all seven chakra symbols is similar: on the outside are the open lotus blossoms and elements from sacred geometry. The 4-petalled lotus flower is a symbol of the Muladhara chakra symbol and the healing color of the 1st energy center is red.
